Two Week Summer Course

Eligibility: all students aged 12-16 years with a minimum of RAD Intermediate Foundation or equivalent including pointe work.

Programme: the summer course offers a taste of life in full time ballet training.
Classes begin at around 10:00 each day and usually end at 17:00. A ballet class is timetabled every day and pointe work / boys coaching scheduled for every alternate day. Other classes include Pilates, contemporary and repertoire. Depending on the length of a course, classes in jazz, character may also be offered.
Local interest: Sadler’s Wells Theatre is within walking distance.

Location: Mayfair, London W1 (Bond Street Tube - 2 minutes/Opposite Selfridges main entrance) 
Danceworks welcome students from around the world and offer excellence in classical ballet training with a unique international curriculum with daily performance classes in our prestigious studios, leading to the final performance at the Lilian Baylis Sadler's Wells Theatre.Classes are taught by internationally renowned dancers from leading ballet companies. We are pleased to announce that this year our guest teachers include Michaela DePrince, Dutch National Ballet Soloist and Ivan Putrov, Men in Motion Director and former Royal Ballet Principal. Previous guest teachers have included Sergei Polunin, Melissa Hamilton, Erico Montes, Antonia Franceschi, Nathalie Harrison and Dominic Antonucci. Students are expected to gain significant improvements in technique, performing skills and artistic development. A small number of partial financial means scholarships are offered to exceptionally talented young dancers by audition.

Location: Henny Jurriëns Studio, Chassestraat 64.
Programme: an ideal opportunity for dancers to study the styles of leading European (and other) choreographers, in an international atmosphere together with other professional and professionally-oriented dancers. Workshops are offered in the styles of Akram Khan, Hofesh Shechter, Ohad Naharin, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Jirí Kylián and many others.  Dancers can choose their own schedule and stay for any period of time. Through the combination of classes and workshops that are offered, dancers can acquire familiarity with skills and tools needed to succeed in today’s dance world. Workshop showings are held at the end of each week and there are other performance opportunities as well. 
Eligibility: Dancers of advanced/professional level can attend. No preregistration for classes is needed. For workshops a selection will be made op basis van CV and dance film.
Contemporary dance class teachers:  Andrej Petrovic, Alleyne Dance Guy Nader,  Maria Campos, Jenia Kasatkina, Jos Baker, Rachael Osborne, Vittoria De Ferrari Sapetto, Marijke Eliasberg, Keren Rosenberg and  Luke Jessop.
