Dancing at Dusk
Dancing at Dusk – A moment with Pina Bausch’s The Rite of Spring shows the re-staging of Pina Bausch’s work. Filmed just before the world locked down, it captures the last rehearsal of an assembled company of 38 dancers from 14 African countries, and documents a unique moment in their preparations for an international tour. The film will be available Sadler’s Wells’ Digital Stage from Wednesday 1 July 2020. Tickets:£5.

From Berlin With Love

While the Berlin stages are still closed, the Staatsballett Berlin will present a digital gala programme. Aurora Dickie, Iana Salenko and Polina Semionova, as well as Dinu Tamazlacaru, Daniil Simkin and Marian Walter will give a taste of the programme in August and September 2020. As a taste of the Staatsballett's first new production, LAB_WORKS COVID_19 with choreographies by dancers of the company, Ross Martinson showcases one of his choreographies and Ksenia Ovsyanick and Johnny McMillan present an improvised work. www.youtube.com/staatsballettbln

World Ballet School Day

World Ballet School Day will feature students from Boston Ballet School, Canada’s National Ballet School, English National Ballet School, New Zealand School of Dance, Palucca University of Dance Dresden, The Royal Ballet School and the Prix de Lausanne in a round table to provide insights into the world of professional ballet and dance training especially during lockdown. www.worldballetschoolday.com
