DENADA DANCE THEATRE - UK-BASED DANCERS


DeNada Dance Theatre (chor. Carlos Pons Guerra) seeks UK-based dancers of any gender denomination, with excellent contemporary dance technique, theatricality and unique presence for the creation and tour of The Bull and the Moon, a new outdoor family-friendly production about gender identity. We are looking for dancers with great narrative skills, creativity and musicality. Experience in flamenco, tap, South Asian dance or other body percussive dance forms a plus, as is experience in drag and basic text skills. Workshop will happen March 15-April 2021 in Bradford, and creation and tour throughout June-July 2021, restrictions allowing. We are offering two professional contracts, for the workshopping, production and tour through spring and summer 2021. Dancers must be available for the following weeks: w/c 15 March and 7 March - 1 April (Bradford, Kala Sangam). Online individual workshop/auditions will take place on the week of 22 February, at mutually convenient times. TULSA BALLET - MALE AND FEMALE DANCERS


Tulsa Ballet is seeking male and female dancers with strong classical and contemporary technique for its 2020-21 season. Auditions are by invitation only, and it will be in a limited group of dancers due to COVID-19 restrictions. To be considered for an audition, please send the following list of items to companymanager@tulsaballet.org: a video with no introduction or fancy editing, consisting of the following performed in leotard and tights for women, and tight-fitting dance attire for men: two classical variations drawn from the standard repertoire, danced in pointe shoes by female applicants; a short contemporary variation (that could consist of something drawn from the repertoire, phrases from classwork, or an applicant-created work) that illustrates the applicant’s command of a range of movement different from that demonstrated in the classical variation; 3-5 minutes of barre work, incorporating both sides, danced in soft shoes by male applicants and pointe shoes by female applicants; 3-5 minutes of center work that includes adagio, pirouettes, petit and grand allegro, danced in pointe shoes by female applicants; a CV (must include weight & height); a head shot; 2-3 dance photos that reveal the dancer’s body proportions and line.

This is a part-time position for an internationally acclaimed artist with expertise in Choreography, Composition, and/or Concert Dance. Selected artist will succeed multi-dimensional artist William Forsythe as holder of the Mann Professorship and will be expected to spend 6-12 weeks in residence at USC Kaufman each year. Initial appointment is for 3-5 years with possibility of renewal.  USC Kaufman seeks a visionary, collaborative, dynamic and innovative thought-partner to provide instruction to students in the BFA in Dance program. Involvement may include but is not limited to teaching dance technique, choreography, repertory and performance, improvisation and composition, colloquium, senior seminar, as well as staging and/or creating work.

ATLANTIC BALLET ATLANTIQUE CANADA


Atlantic Ballet Atlantique Canada, Artistic Director Igor Dobrovolskiy is looking for male and female dancers for the 2021-2022 Season (40 weeks). This season begins in May, 2021 and includes an 11 week outdoor performance series of 22 shows until the end of September as well as a creation period of two new works with one premiering  later in the Season. Dancers must have strong classical technique and be of high soloist standard. The company has a principal focus on new creations, therefore, dancers must be flexible and able to adapt to new and varied choreography. A competitive salary is offered. HUBBARD STREET DANCE - ARTISTIC DIRECTOR


Reporting to the board of directors in an equal position alongside the Executive Director, the Artistic Director (AD) will be the face of Hubbard Street Dance (HSD). They will provide cultural and historical context, stylistic connections between forms, and a balance of work to inspire new appreciation and excitement about dance. The AD will provide inspirational leadership as the curator of a robust mix of dance programming, centered on recruiting and developing world-class repertory dancers and representing a contrasting and growing set of internationally prominent choreographers as well as dynamic emerging talents. HSD does not require any specific educational degree or set number of years of experience. Qualified applicants coming from any formal or informal background must demonstrate a track record of success with innovative team leadership, relationship building, fostering community, and enhancing financial support. The AD may or may not be a choreographer whose work will be incorporated into the company’s performances. An understanding of the Chicago community or a demonstrated record of being able to rapidly engage with and become a part of a new community is necessary.
