The ballet company of Yokohama is a new international ballet company located in Yokohama, Japan to be established on September 1, 2009. Ballet Black is a neo-classical ballet company based in London, with a wide repertoire of specially commissioned ballets by choreographers including Shobana Jeyasingh, Will Tuckett and Richard Alston. The company is looking for talented ballet dancers for our new season commencing in September 2009. Applicants should have strong pointe work/partnering skills and be enthusiastic about creating new work. Previous experience is useful, but not necessary. Auditions will be held on the 5th of June in Paris and the 13th of June in London. Vincent Dance Theatre, the Sheffield-based Arts Council funded touring company, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled composer/cellist/performer to work with the company to devise and tour VDT's new production If We Go On during 2009/10. The company are looking for a multi-talented artist to compose and perform an original soundscape for the piece, working with an experienced ensemble of performers. Must be able to improvise and play a variety of styles, and also act, learn and deliver text on stage and be skilled in movement including performing contact work with dancers.
