BNS I SODRE NATIONAL BALLET
BNS | Sodre National Ballet (National Ballet of Uruguay) - artistic director: Julio Bocca - will be auditioning for soloists and corps de ballet on 6 October 2017 in the Auditorió Nacional Sodre, Dra. Adela Reta, Montevideo, Uruguay. The audition will consist of a classical class, a contemporary class and selected dancers will be invited to perform a classical variation which they have prepared in advance. Minimum height for female dancers: 163 cm; minimum height for male dancers: 175 cm. Contracts will run from 29 January - 31 December 2018. The Division of Dance invites nominations and applications for the position of associate/full professor and chair. This position is an opportunity to be involved in the on-going shaping of innovative, dynamic curriculum and performance practice. Strong leadership skills and teaching experience are essential. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. Extraordinary candidates at the associate/full professor levels will be considered. Minimum qualifications: Terminal degree or significant professional accomplishment in the field; minimum of 3 years administrative experience; expertise to teach courses in one or more areas of the Dance curriculum; and demonstrated creative/scholarly achievement. Preferred qualifications: Experience that includes: a strong record of administrative leadership at the level of chair or higher; curriculum development; performance and production management; integrating engaged pedagogies and new technologies into curriculum; strategic planning; recruitment; and fund raising. USC GLORYA KAUFMAN SCHOOL OF DANCE - LOS ANGELES, CA
The USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track, Assistant Professor of Practice in Ballet Technique. USC Kaufman seeks a collaborative, dynamic and innovative artist-scholar to teach all levels of ballet technique for undergraduate dance majors, non-majors, and minors. Successful candidates will have significant professional and/or university-level experience in teaching ballet technique, men’s ballet technique, classical male variations, classical partnering and contemporary partnering as well as teaching and/or staging classical and/or contemporary masterworks. Experience in teaching other areas of dance is desirable but not required. Starting date: August 15, 2018. Initial appointment will be for a period of three years. Dancers must have strong classical technique and be of high soloist standard. The company has a principal focus on new creations, therefore, dancers must be flexible and able to adapt to new and varied choreography.
